Easter Fortunes Are In Your Cookies Future

I’m sitting here looking out my office window at the 8 inches of snow dropped on us by the Easter Bunny. Snow is so much fun! From sledding to making snowmen and angels, it’s a blast. Besides it’s beautiful! Everything looks so fresh and new, and sparkly. However, it’s one week until April. And I’m not relishing Easter Egg Hunts through the snow!

Growing up down south the issue was always the April Shower’s that brought our egg hunts to the indoors. This year in the midwest, we might be driven inside by the snow. With that in mind, I’m sure a lot of parents and organizations would love to do something a little different that the same old foil wrapped eggs and jelly beans.

Might I suggest, our Easter Fortune Cookies! They have kids jokes and fortunes of springtime renewal inside them, just to freshen up the old boring Confucius says numbers. Not only are the fortunes inside the cookies more modern, but the cookies themselves have had a makeover to make the Easter Bunny proud. We take our real cocoa butter based white chocolate, and tint it to pinks, purples, pastelly blues, greens, orange and yellow. Then hand dip each gourmet vanilla fortune cookie and hand decorate them with little candy chicks, bunnies, carrots, eggs and flowers. These little guys are a steal at only $0.99 each! The perfect addition to any Easter basket or as a new fun stuffing for those plastic Easter eggs.

Our Giant fortune cookie fell into a batch of lavender chocolate. So I decided to make the best of the mess and put some bunnies, carrots, chicks and candies on the outside. Then made it like a surprise egg, you know the ones you crack open to find something else inside, but stuffing it full of gourmet jelly beans, whopper eggs, and chocolate carrots!

How about a fortune cookie hunt!

This guy is so big and fun that he could be added to a basket, stand alone as a gift, or be a prize for finding one of the golden eggs at the Easter egg hunt. Fortune cookies may not be a traditional Easter treat, but often the unexpected becomes the best treat of all.
