My name is Erin, I work at a fortune cookie bakery, and I have a problem. First, there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day. Second, not enough people understand how valuable a tool personalized fortune cookies can be. Third, my daughter is addicted to our fortune cookies! Especially the chocolate covered fortune cookies… Well I think I just listed more than one problem, but the blog is here to deal with problem number two.

A little about the company – Fancy Fortune Cookies has been in business for over 24 years. We were the first fortune cookie company on the web and Mike Fry, CEO & Founder, was the first non-Chinese person to actually bake all his own fortune cookies.

Everything we do here at our bakery is specific to each of our clients needs.
*If you’re having a wedding and need a fun, unusual but still economical wedding favor, I have ideas for you.

Just wondering if the cookies come pre=pkg’d and how much they are……….we are considering this option for a rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiance. Her colors are black/white/ charcoal and a fig color.

Hi. I just took advantage of the great groupon deal. I am going to use it for my son’s First Communion that will be the 2nd weekend in May. Do you have any ideas? I was wanting to do a giant one and then order the smaller ones with religious quotes on them for the guests as party favors. Thanks for the input!

The little cookies are great for handing out to the guests as a little favor and the giants are definitely fun. Usually they are given to the child as a fun present.

I hope these help and if you need any other fortune ideas you can look here on our website for additional fortune cookie sayings.

    Hi Cindy!

Thank you so much for the comment! All of our cookies come individually wrapped in clear cello. We also carry Chinese Take-out Containers in different colors. Depending on the budget the Chinese take-out boxes can also be imprinted with artwork for the bride and groom.

For the colors we do have Black (Black Raspberry fortune cookies) and white (Coconut and Mint fortune cookies). The closest to fig would be our purple fruit punch cookie.

Please email me erin(at)fancyfortunecookies(dot)com if you would like any samples sent. I would love to have you and your son and his fiance try the cookies and see the packaging. Thank you!

I ordered these cookies as part of my daughter’s “final exam” survival kit. EVERYONE loves them. She says they are beautiful, delicious and that I picked just the right fortunes! Thank you! They do take time to produce but are well worth the wait and I appreciate that the company is upfront with the time-frame.

Hi, we are inquiring for pricing on the cookie dipped in icing with sprinkles? We have two events (April & July4th) that we are in need of such a party favor. The event is a scholarship pageant for ages 5-22, everyone likes fortune cookies just wondering if it’s in our budget. Not sure of quanties yet?
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    Hi Debbie!

Generally the cookies you are asking about are $1.15 each. If you are needing better pricing as a not-for-profit we would be happy to work with you and put something together. Why don’t you give me a call at 888-776-6611 or email me, erin(at)fancyfortunecookies(dot)com, some additional information and I will put together some ideas and pricing for you! Thank you so much! My daughter is getting married on May 19, and I want to order your fortune cookies, when should I place my order?? Also, could I ask where you are located and whether you have a store front??

    Thank you,
    Deb Hurlburt

One more question — do the cookies come individually wrapped? If my daughter is planning a more casual/party reception, we were thinking of having them set out on various tables — some are tall tables for people to mingle at and others are sit down tables for elderly, etc.

    Thank you,
    Deb H.

Hi Debra! Thank you for the comments! First for your daughters wedding May 19th, you can place the order anytime. We have a spot in the order form for your event date and the date you would like the cookies to arrive by. As long as you fill those in, we will hold the order and won’t bake or ship the cookies until you need them to arrive. We do recommend having them arrive no more than about 3 weeks before the big day. That way they are plenty fresh! At a minimum you should order 2 weeks before you need the cookies to be there.

Our bakery and store is in Indianapolis, IN. We ship and bake all our cookies fresh to order right here. If you are in the Indianapolis area, you can select pickup instead of shipping.

Thank you so much and I am replying to your other message in just a second. :)

Yes! All the cookies are individually wrapped. It’s a high-quality, 100% clear wrapper that is heat sealed. No printing at all. It’s common to see them displayed in punch bowls or even just scattered on the tables. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you again!

How long would it take to get 150 regular fortune cookies sent to Weymouth, MA? And how much would that cost?
    Thanks,
    Tom

  16. Erin

Hi Tom! Typical turnaround is 9 days to your area. But if you need them sooner I am pretty sure we can accommodate you. Just let me know when your event is. The cookies will be $70.50 and ground shipping should be around $10 additional. So about $80 total and that includes the custom fortunes. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to helping you! Thanks! Erin

I need 60 fortune cookies for a Chinese New Year celebration for my son’s school. He has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy. Is your facility peanut/tree nut free? Any almond extracts used?

    Thanks Jen

  18. Erin

    Hi Jen!
Thank you for the question. Our cookies are peanut and tree nut free, we use no almond extracts (our traditional fortune cookies are vanilla based). However, in our dipping area, we do have mini m&m’s (which are produced in a facility containing nuts) as well hazelnuts. If you order non chocolate covered cookies you should be fine and people regularly do so, but I want to make sure you know exactly what we have in our bakery. Hopefully this helps and thank you so much! Erin
